American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS certifications along with a TN or compact RN license.
Details- Emergency Department setting in an acute care hospital serving all ages
- 14-bed unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
- Uses Med Host EDIS for charting
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a 6-on/8-off rotation
- 36 guaranteed weekly hours including 24 weekend hours
- Every other weekend required
- Floating as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Active RN license valid in Tennessee (Standard or Compact)
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and PALS
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Prior ER experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start
- Provide emergency nursing care to patients of all ages in a 2-hospital system community setting
- Reports to the Director of Emergency Services
- Professional demeanor expected; casual attire not permitted, scrub color is flexible
- Bi-weekly orientation held on Mondays at the facility
- Local candidates within 60 miles are not eligible for travel rate
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
