A Detailer is responsible for cleaning vehicles for customers.

• Vacuum interiors of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner.
• Clean upholstery, carpets and other surfaces using cleaning agent applicators and cleaning devices.
• Apply revitalizers and preservatives to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
• Clean engine and engine compartment with various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime.
• Apply special purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which do not respond to normal cleaning procedures, utilizing experience and following recommendations of product manufacturer.

• Report to work within acceptable time frames and company standards.
• Maintain appropriate degree of professionalism towards customers and coworkers.

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
• 1 year of relevant experience preferred
• Must be able to lift items up to 50 - 75 lbs.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and computers.
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Preferred, working knowledge of car parts and the tools used for cars.
• Preferred, basic knowledge regarding chemical formulas for various cleaning products and the most effective way to use them.
• Current, valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

The employee will work indoors and outdoors in an auto shop environment.
