Red Dot Buildings is seeking a forward‑thinking, execution‑oriented Vice President of IT to lead the transformation of our technology environment during a period of rapid growth and acquisition. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in building and modernizing systems in evolving environments—bringing structure, scalability, and innovation to a function that is poised for significant change.
The VP of IT will partner closely with an incumbent IT leader to ensure continuity while driving a thoughtful transition to a modern, scalable technology stack. This individual must be comfortable operating in a “build-and-transform” environment that will feel similar to a startup; requiring agility, creativity, and a hands‑on approach.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a forward‑looking IT strategy aligned with business growth, operational efficiency, and acquisition integration
- Assess current systems, infrastructure, and processes; identify and prioritize opportunities to modernize and streamline the technology stack
- Lead the transition from legacy systems to scalable, secure, and efficient platforms
- Evaluate and introduce AI‑enabled tools and technologies to improve efficiency, decision‑making, and customer experience
- Champion the strategic adoption and implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions across the organization to drive operational efficiency, innovation, and business growth
- Establish and oversee robust digital security, governance, and risk management protocols related to AI technologies, ensuring data privacy, cybersecurity compliance, and responsible AI usage across the enterprise
- Drive ERP go‑live and post‑implementation stabilization, optimizing system performance, data integrity, and alignment with business processes
- Partner closely with the incumbent IT leader to ensure knowledge transfer, continuity, and a smooth leadership transition
- Lead change management efforts to support adoption of new tools, systems, and processes
- Oversee all aspects of IT operations, including infrastructure, networks, systems, cybersecurity, and end‑user support
- Ensure system reliability, data integrity, and business continuity across multiple business units
- Establish and enhance cybersecurity protocols, policies, and risk mitigation strategies
- Build and lead a high‑performing IT team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement
- Manage external vendors, consultants, and technology partners
- Establish disciplined processes for prioritization, budgeting, and execution
- Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other business leaders to align technology investments with business priorities
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on technology trends and opportunities
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including leading transformation initiatives
- Proven experience modernizing technology environments and migrating legacy systems
- Experience operating in high‑growth, acquisition‑driven, or private equity‑backed environments
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Hands‑on, solutions‑oriented leader comfortable working in evolving and ambiguous environments
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments (preferred)
- Background in ERP implementations or transformations
- Experience managing leadership transitions or succession scenarios
- Hands‑on familiarity with OES services in environments with remote or offline access needs
- Experience managing eDirectory replication and synchronization across multiple sites or regions
- Knowledge of VMware vSphere/vCenter and hybrid/cloud strategies supporting field operations
