American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical position requiring 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience.

• Work in the Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes medical-surgical and respiratory cases requiring non-invasive airway management
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active TX or Compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications:
  Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience managing cardiac drips without titration
• Proficient in isolation precautions/PPE, medication administration, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and peripheral line care and management

• Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring and respiratory support
• Must not reside in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties
• Locals residing within 50 miles are not accepted for this position
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Former staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
