Overhead Crane Operator

Overview

Safely operate overhead cranes to lift, position, and move materials throughout the production floor while maintaining compliance with all company safety policies and operational procedures.

• Safely operate overhead cranes within the fabrication shop and production areas.
• Perform pre-operation inspections of cranes to ensure equipment is functioning properly and safely.
• Inspect chains, slings, hooks, and all rigging attachments prior to use.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate crane movements and ensure a safe work environment.
• Understand and adhere to crane load limits and proper rigging practices.
• Follow all Red Dot safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and company guidelines.
• Maintain current knowledge of company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Participate in all required safety meetings and training programs provided by Red Dot.

To perform this role successfully, employees must:

• Support safety initiatives and productivity improvement projects within the fabrication shop.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
