The Industrial Journeyman Electricianperformsskilledelectricalwork ,including installation,maintenance,troubleshooting,andrepairofelectricalsystemsandequipmentinanindustrialsetting.

Therolerequiresknowledgeofelectricalsystems,safety standards,andtheabilitytoworkindependentlyoraspartofateam.

• Install Electrical Systems :
  Install,test,andmaintainelectricalwiring,fixtures,andcontrolsystems,adheringtoelectricalcodesandstandards.
• Troubleshoot and Repair:
  Diagnoseandresolveelectricalmalfunctionsorsystemfailuresinatimelymannertominimizedowntime.
• Preventive Maintenance:
  Performroutineinspectionsandmaintenancetoensurethefunctionalityofelectricalsystemsandpreventpotentialissues.
• Read Blueprintsand Schematics :
  Interprettechnicaldrawings,blueprints,andelectricalschematicstoperforminstallationsandrepairs.
• Workwith Equipment:
  Serviceandmaintainelectricalcomponentsinindustrialequipment,includingmotors,generators,transformers,andcontrolsystems.
• Ensure Safety Compliance :
  Followallsafetyprotocols,includinglockout/tagout(LOTO) procedures,andensureelectricalsystemsmeetsafetyandregulatoryrequirements.
• Collaborate with Teams:
  Workwithengineers,contractors,andothertradespeopletocompleteprojectsandresolvecomplexelectricalissues.

• Highschooldiplomaorequivalent.
• Completionofacertifiedelectricalapprenticeshipprogram.

• 3+yearsofexperienceasa
  
  Journeymenelectricianinanindustrialenvironment.
• Proficiencywithindustrialelectricalsystems,including high-voltage equipment,PLCs(Programmable Logic Controllers ),andmotorcontrols.

• Strongknowledgeofthe National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Abilitytouseelectricaltestingtoolssuchasmultimeters,megohmmeters,andcircuitanalyzers.
• Skilledindiagnosingandrepairingcomplexelectricalissues.
• Proficiencyincabletermination,including preparing,splicing,andconnectingwirestopanels,switches,andotherequipmentwithprecisionandaccuracy.
• Proficiencyincablepulling,includingrunningandsecuringelectricalcablesthroughconduits,trays,andindustrialsystems.
• Physicalabilitytoliftheavyobjects,climb ladders,andworkinconfinedspacesorelevatedareas.
• Strongcommunicationandteamworkskills.

• Experiencewithautomationsystemsoradvancedindustrialcontrols.
• Familiaritywithenergy-efficientsystemsorrenewableenergyinstallations.

• Workisperformedinindustrialfacilitiessuchasfactories,powerplants,andwarehouses.
• Mayinvolveexposuretohazardousmaterials,hightemperatures,ornoisyenvironments.
