Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography (CT) is needed for a healthcare provider in Athol, Massachusetts. This position involves performing high-quality CT scans, mammography, and operating diagnostic imaging equipment in accordance with established protocols. The role requires a detail-oriented professional dedicated to patient safety and image accuracy, supporting diagnostic processes at the facility.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of
Experience:
A.S. Degree preferred but not required;
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification preferred with a goal to obtain within one year from the date of hire;
Massachusetts License to practice Radiologic Technology required; CPR Certification required; ability to read and communicate effectively in English; additional languages preferred; strong written and verbal skills; basic computer knowledge; zero years of experience required. - Schedule:
Day shift with 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week. - Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Registration in CAT Scan or Mammography is optional but preferred. - Additional Information:
Performs daily quality assurance procedures for CT and Mammography, ensures accurate transmission of images via hospital Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), and adheres to safety and infection control policies. Responsible for assessing patients to ensure optimal exposure techniques, taking precautions for pregnant women, ensuring proper use of protective devices, verifying physician orders, entering billing information into the Meditech Computer System, and maintaining a safe environment to prevent patient falls and injuries.
Exhibits sensitivity to elderly patients' needs and manages pain and security concerns with care.
