Radiology Technologist - CT and Mammography
The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for performing CT and Mammography procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves operating diagnostic imaging equipment, assessing patients for appropriate positioning and technique, and maintaining accurate documentation throughout the process.
Responsibilities- Perform CT scans and Mammography exams, ensuring accurate demographic information and high-quality images.
- Conduct daily QA for CT and Mammography to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Operate hospital PACS system for image transmission and accuracy.
- Assess radiographs for proper positioning and anatomical detail.
- Review physician orders to confirm the correct examination based on clinical history.
- Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff, mitigating risks associated with falls or potential hazards.
- Provide excellent patient care and maintain clear communication, especially with elderly patients and those with hearing difficulties.
- Utilize appropriate techniques and safety measures to minimize radiation exposure.
- A.S. Degree preferred but not required.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification preferred; must be obtained within one year from the date of hire.
- Massachusetts License to practice Radiologic Technology required.
- CPR Certification required.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English; additional languages preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
This position requires four 10-hour shifts, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
