Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in precision measurement and quality assurance, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Metrology Supervisor to join their team. As a vital part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting the metrology laboratory, the ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for continuous improvement, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Quality Metrology Supervisor

Location: Athol, MA

Pay Range: $59,000 - $76,500 annually

Shift: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

What's the Job?
  • Manage and oversee daily operations within an A2LA-accredited metrology laboratory, ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
  • Coordinate calibration activities, verify measurement equipment accuracy, and ensure traceability to international standards.
  • Review and approve tool repairs, and supervise first‑piece inspection and release processes on measurement systems.
  • Lead internal and external quality audits, ensuring full readiness and compliance during accreditation and regulatory assessments.
  • Provide leadership, training, and technical guidance to laboratory personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a quality assurance or laboratory supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, and quality management systems.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, calibration equipment, and statistical data analysis tools.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
