As a Store Team Member at Pet Supplies Plus, you’re passionately engaged with both people and their pets. You’ll provide exceptional, neighborly service throughout your shift. Your day will include:

• Stopping to help a neighbor select the perfect toy for a terrier that likes to chew
• Reviewing and comparing ingredient labels of multiple food brands for a concerned cat parent
• Fitting a squirming dachshund with the perfect harness
• Educating a sixth grader on responsible bird ownership
• Stocking shelves and ringing up neighbors’ purchases
• Feeding all the furry pets and ensuring their cages are clean and inviting

Depending on where you thrive, you may specialize in one of the following areas:

• Processing neighbor purchases with trustworthy accuracy and efficiency
• Providing Preferred Pet Club membership information to prevent missed offers

• Safely unloading delivery trucks using proper equipment
• Stocking shelves to ensure all items are neatly displayed and available
• Carrying bags of kibble, cat litter, aquariums, and other purchases out to neighbors’ cars

• Providing care for store pets, including cleaning habitats, feeding, and handling animals
• Answering neighbors’ questions on animal care to help them find or maintain the perfect pet

The position can be physically demanding, requiring heavy lifting (40-65 lbs.) and long periods of standing. We support learning through interactive Pet Degree pay‑for‑knowledge programs.
Store Team Member candidates should:

• Support teammates by acting as backup when extra help is needed
• Be knowledgeable about animals and our products to provide outstanding service
• Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Pass a drug screening (in applicable states) and be 16 years or older
