A private equity-backed company headquartered in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its high-performing finance team. This role is a key contributor to the monthly close process, financial reporting, and technical accounting analysis for a rapidly growing, multi-entity organization.

About the Role:

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of the company’s financials while applying your technical accounting expertise to ensure compliance with US GAAP. You’ll be responsible for preparing complex journal entries, performing reconciliations, supporting financial audits, and driving consistency in accounting treatment across business units. This is an onsite role offering strong exposure to C-suite leadership and opportunities for upward mobility in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own critical aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review complex journal entries and account reconciliations
• Research and apply accounting standards to new or unusual transactions
• Partner with FP&A, operations, and external auditors to ensure accuracy and transparency
• Assist with implementation of new accounting policies and internal controls
• Support due diligence and integration efforts related to M&A activity
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and maintain documentation to support accounting conclusions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
• 3–5+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and industry
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and technical accounting guidance (e.g., revenue recognition, lease accounting, business combinations)
• Proven ability to research and draft accounting memos
• High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Background:

• Experience at a public accounting firm (Big 4 or national/regional)
• Exposure to private equity environments and multi-entity consolidations
• Experience working with accounting systems like Net Suite, Sage Intacct, or similar
