Position OverviewWe’re seeking an experienced Controller to oversee accounting operations, manage Quick Books, and lead our financial reporting and analysis efforts. This role combines the precision of accounting with strategic insight—helping Sunbelt plan, forecast, and grow. You’ll work directly with ownership to ensure strong cash flow, accurate reporting, and financial accountability across departments.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all daily accounting operations in Quick Books
, including A/R, A/P, payroll, reconciliations, and job costing. - Oversee invoicing, change order verification, and billing accuracy to ensure proper client documentation and payment control.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, cash‑flow projections, and P&L reports.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards for tracking departmental and company performance.
- Support budget creation, forecasting, and variance analysis for leadership review.
- Partner with Operations (Troy Hudson) and Sales to ensure project and revenue accuracy.
- Monitor company credit card usage, vendor accounts, and purchase orders.
- Assist with year‑end closing, audits, and tax preparation in collaboration with CPA.
- Continuously improve financial processes and internal controls.
- Communication and Customer Service skills
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (Controller or Senior Accountant preferred).
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online and Excel; experience with job‑costing software a plus.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills; detail‑oriented but strategic.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience in construction, technology integration, or service‑based industries is a plus.
- Administrative Assistance and Office Administration experience
- Proficiency in managing office equipment and ability to answer phones along with speaking to walk‑in clients
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of basic office software and tools
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Experience in the technology or home entertainment industry is a plus
- Quickbooks Expert is a must
