This is a pipeline opportunity with UHY Resource Solutions Group rather than an active job opening. As an accounting consultant you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and managing a team of accountants. They play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

• Lead and perform detailed reconciliations for general ledger accounts, including cash, accounts payable, accounts receivable, intercompany, and accrual accounts.
• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries based on reconciliation findings to ensure financial accuracy.
• Manage and execute account reconciliations as part of the month‑end close process, ensuring completeness and timeliness.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or unreconciled balances by collaborating with internal accounting teams and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Develop and implement standardized reconciliation procedures and templates to enhance consistency and efficiency.
• Ensure all reconciliations comply with GAAP and internal control standards.
• Maintain supporting documentation and schedules for reconciliations to ensure audit readiness.
• Reconcile lease‑related accounts in accordance with ASC 842 and ensure accurate monthly entries.
• Identify areas for process improvement and support the automation of reconciliation tasks.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or MBA preferred
• 10+ years of hands‑on accounting experience with a strong focus on reconciliations and month‑end close
• Deep understanding of general ledger accounting and financial statement accuracy
• Strong experience preparing journal entries and performing account analysis
• Able to work independently and dive into detailed, high‑volume reconciliations

Prior consulting or project‑based experience is a plus.
