Accounts Payable Specialist

Location:

Smyrna, GA (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Salary: $50,000 – $60,000 annually

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in a hybrid role based in Smyrna, GA. This position is responsible for the full cycle of accounts payable operations, including vendor payments, reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Reconcile vendor invoices, purchase orders, and employee expense reports.
• Research and resolve discrepancies and outstanding account balances.
• Maintain accurate AP records and documentation. Prepare payments and input data into the accounting system.
• Coordinate daily totals for checking account transfers.
• Assist with journal entries and month-end closing tasks.
• Generate ad hoc reports for management as needed.
• Act as the point of contact for vendor inquiries and invoice resolution.
• Prepare and issue annual 1099s to vendors and contractors.
• Participate in special projects and support team training efforts. Handle sensitive consumer information (e.g., Social Security numbers, birth dates). Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Associates degree in Accounting or High school diploma
• Minimum of 4 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience.
• Great Plains or large ERP software.
• Availability to work overtime when needed.
