Essential Functions- Obtain an understanding of the client’s business and industry, including the client’s system cycles and account balances within the scope of assigned tasks
- Obtain an understanding of the work to be performed and its purpose
- Develop working knowledge of financial institution processes, including internal controls over financial reporting
- Perform substantive and analytical auditing procedures in assigned areas
- Prepare working papers documenting tests performed and procedures followed to substantiate conclusions
- Be alert to proper and consistent application of accounting principles in audit procedures
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and footnotes
- Identify and document control deficiencies or other matters warranting management attention
- 1-3 years (or busy seasons) within a public accounting firm
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and completed all requirements to be eligible for the CPA exam
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
