German Audit & Tax Associate - Atlanta, GA

Position OverviewThe German Associate (Audit & Tax) will support audit and tax engagements for German‑owned U.S. subsidiaries, assist with tax return preparation, conduct technical research, and communicate closely with team leaders and clients to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Perform audit engagements for clients across manufacturing and distribution industries.
- Develop and execute audit programs by setting objectives, identifying risks, evaluating controls, and designing test procedures.
- Assist with preparing tax returns and related client communications.
- Prepare Federal and state corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
- Perform technical accounting research across various topics.
- Deliver high‑quality services and work products.
- Maintain active communication with clients and team members to ensure expectations are met.
- Prepare clear, concise work papers and documentation.
- Manage workload priorities and provide status updates to supervisors.
- Proficient German written and verbal communication skills.
- BA/BS in Accounting or Master’s in Accounting/Taxation.
- Strong English writing, research, and communication skills.
- Analytical, process‑driven mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task.
- CPA license or in progress.
- Public accounting experience (internships or entry‑level roles).
- Experience with Pro System fx Engagement or CCH Axcess.
