We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting Accountant to join our team. This role is perfect for a professional with a strong background in accounting & finance. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a knack for problem-solving and a profound understanding of financial management. The role demands a high level of expertise in Quickbooks and Excel, and preferably a background in the hospitality industry.

- Develop and implement sound accounting strategies to boost financial health and profitability.
- Provide financial advice and insights to help our clients make informed business decisions.
- Oversee financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses for management in accordance with financial analysis procedures.
- Manage all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, revenue recognition.
- Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
- Evaluate computerized accounting systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements.
- Generate financial reports and statements to Managers for review.
- Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
- Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on the hospitality industry.
- Proven expertise in Quickbooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical skills and experience creating reports and presentations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
