Senior Accountant/Assistant Controller
This is a newly created position that will report directly to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising accountant for all functions including: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash management
- Assembling timely and accurate financial reporting packages for development projects, operating assets and corporate entities
- Work with other departments (construction/leasing/management) to help integrate the finance team across the organization
- Coordinate and assist in the preparation of all internal and external (partners/lenders) reporting requirements
- Consolidate project invoices by development and package monthly draw requests
- Assist in the gathering/coordination of annual tax filings
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work flow and responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA Preferred
- 2-5 years experience in accounting
- Strong technical, analytical, communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in MS Office suite with strong Excel skills
- Details oriented & Self Starter
