Senior Staff Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the shared services support center accounting department, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Perform daily transactional accounting tasks, including payables and ACH disbursement processing and payroll processing.
- Monitor cash and credit card balances and charges on a daily basis to ensure both authorization and recording.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes of both the support center and site operations.
- Prepare multi-location, consolidated financial statements.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.
- Work with Controller on expense management opportunities.
- Work on special projects and/or requests from management.
- Assist the Controller in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to maintain internal controls and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance and work collaboratively with site operations accountants.
- Support external financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred or in-process.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years of monthly transactional accounting and month end closing experience
