About the Role:As the Reinsurance Accountant, you’ll support key accounting and reporting functions—owning balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close activities, and insurance-related financial analysis. You’ll help prepare components of the company’s financial reporting packages under US GAAP and Statutory guidelines, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and analyze trends, costs, and revenue to support informed decision-making. This role also involves preparing P&Ls and journal entry support schedules, maintaining accounting policies and the chart of accounts, and presenting financial insights to leadership.
The Ideal Candidate Has:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Insurance or reinsurance accounting experience highly preferred
- Strong understanding of debits/credits and financial analysis
- Experience with general ledger systems;
Hyperion or ERP exposure is a plus - Public accounting, CPA, or advanced degree preferred
