Seeking a corporate accounting professional at the Senior Accountant level that can operate in a fast-moving environment. Looking for someone that is technically strong, as well as the communcation style and presence to operate in a growth culture as this role will have visibility across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, analyze, and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Execute key components of the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for cash, AR/AP, fixed assets, inventory (if applicable), payroll, and prepaid/deferral accounts.
- Prepare and review flux analyses explaining month-over-month and year-over-year movements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal procedures, and client-specific accounting policies.
- Assist with implementing accounting process improvements, automation opportunities, and workflow enhancements.
- Support the development and documentation of SOPs, reconciliation templates, and standardized processes.
- Oversee full-cycle AP/AR processing, revenue recognition, expense coding, and payment workflows.
- Review client invoices and ensure proper documentation, approvals, and coding accuracy.
- Assist in cash flow monitoring, bank onboarding, and treasury-related support.
- Prepare supporting schedules for annual audits, reviews, and compilations
- Assist with tax documentation and work papers for external tax advisors.
- Ensure audit readiness for year-end reporting and client compliance requirements.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with exposure to both public accounting and industry.
- Prior experience in outsourced accounting, multi-client environments, or multi-entity accounting strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Strong command of U.S. GAAP and general ledger systems.
- Proficiency with Quick Books Online, Xero, Net Suite, Fresh Books, or equivalent cloud accounting platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, data validation, basic modeling).
- Ability to analyze large data sets and distill insights clearly.
