Aprio is seeking an Associate to join our Federal Credits and Incentives team within the Specialty Tax practice. In this role, you will support clients in identifying and maximizing valuable R&D tax credits and incentives through credit studies, technical research, and quality-focused engagement delivery. You will have the opportunity to develop deep expertise in a high-demand specialty tax area while building meaningful client relationships and contributing to real business outcomes.

This role is well suited for an early-career tax professional eager to grow in a collaborative, fast-paced, and client-focused environment.

• Direct exposure to complex R&D tax credit engagements across diverse industries

• Support R&D project management activities across multiple client engagements
• Conduct R&D credit studies and perform related analysis and documentation
• Build and sustain strong client relationships throughout the delivery of R&D services
• Assist senior project managers with engagement delivery, including technical research and written analysis of complex tax issues
• Support R&D quality assurance processes, engagement review, and examination support

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated report writing ability
• Ability to accurately capture and document information during client meetings
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 1–2 years of experience in R&D Tax preferred
• Experience performing R&D Tax Credit Studies preferred
