Assistant Controller

• Play a key leadership role partnering directly with the Controller and organizational leadership.
• Contribute to the financial success of a respected multi-site Atlanta-based organization.
• Gain broad exposure across financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, audits, compliance, and operations.
• Lead and develop accounting team members while helping improve processes and controls.
• Support a mission-driven organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults.

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and treasury management.
• Coordinate audit preparation, regulatory reporting, and compliance activities, including lender, bond, and HUD requirements.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions while mentoring accounting staff.
• Drive process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and provide financial analysis to support business decisions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting and month-end close responsibilities.
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, internal controls, and accounting systems.
• Advanced Excel skills with proven experience leading, coaching, and developing accounting team members.
• CPA and experience in healthcare, senior living, nonprofit, or multi-entity organizations preferred.
