Position: Executive Administrative Assistant for the President

SREB’s Office of the President is looking for an Executive Adminsitrative Assistant. The Executive Adminmistrative Assistant (hybrid) to the President is responsible for creating and maintaining a highly organized, efficient, and proactive administrative environment. This includes managing complex calendars, prioritizing tasks and communications, coordinating schedules and deadlines, and ensuring all documents, briefings, and meeting materials are accurate, accessible, and prepared in advance.

The Executive Administrative Assistant establishes and implements organizational systems that support the President’s workflow, anticipates needs, and ensures seamless daily operations across the executive office. This role is essential for expanding the reach of SREB initiatives and ensuring the delivery of high-quality support. This is a hybrid position that will require a weekly presence in the mid-town Atlanta Headquarters.

What

does an Executive Administrative Assistant for the President do?
  • Serves as liaison with staff, representatives of other organizations and the public by obtaining and providing information, facilitating the resolution of problems and concerns and ensuring a timely response from the appropriate office.
  • Maintains a detailed calendar of events, meetings and other activities requiring the President's attendance; ensures that the President is cognizant of the calendar and has all required information and other materials for such functions.
  • Receives and screens visitors, emails and telephone calls, providing information and resolving concerns which regularly requires the use of judgment and the interpretation of policies and procedures; prioritizes contacts for effective problem resolution and use of the President's time.
  • Researches, compiles and summarizes a variety of informational or statistical materials; contacts representatives of various organizational offices to obtain materials on behalf of the President.
  • Attends selected committee and other meetings as required.
  • Relieves the President of certain administrative matters by following up on projects, transmitting information, and keeping informed of pertinent activities.
  • Acts as lead to all Administrative Assistants and Executive Assistants; coordinates the schedule for front-desk relief; chairs meetings and shares best-practice information.
  • Organizes and maintains various administrative, reference, and follow-up files.
  • Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a team.
  • Represents the organization with dignity, integrity, and a spirit of cooperation in all relationships with staff and the public.
What does it take to be an Executive Administrative Assistant for the President?

Bachelor's degree preferred. Three to five years of robust executive support experience, preferably in nonprofit, education, government, or public policy environments and familiarity with board governance, OR, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
