Deposit Operations Specialist

Lewis James Professional is a woman-owned staff augmentation, project consulting and direct hire search and placement firm. We are currently seeking a Deposit Operations Specialist for a direct hire opportunity with a financial services client.

• Examine and address all non-post, stop pays, positive pay or NSF items on a daily basis.
• Process foreign items and returned mail, chargeback’s, ACH items, wires and CD interest checks.
• Responsible for all debit card matters including ordering debit cards, maintenance, hot cards and pin reorders and disputes.
• Verify signatures on all wires are in compliance with Bank policy.
• Responsible for daily account maintenance requests and compliance.
• Process daily reports and settlements as delegated by the Deposit Operations Manager.
• Monitor and process new account documents and handling account exceptions.
• Report discrepancies to the Deposit Operations Manager and assist in clearing discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed records on all work responsibilities and the confidentiality of the Bank’s customers.
• Remain current on and adhere to all regulatory requirements and training.
• Process levies, garnishments and bankruptcy requests.
• Review and approval of mobile and merchant capture deposits.

• High school diploma or GED, as well as related experience or product knowledge to accomplish primary duties.
• 3+ years of related experience in a deposit operations environment.
• Experience with Jack Henry Silverlake systems a plus.
