The Master Bicycle Mechanic at Landry’s Bicycles plays a key role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring every bike leaves the shop performing at its best. This position requires advanced technical ability, strong problem‑solving skills, and a commitment to Landry’s customer‑first values. As a senior member of the service team, the Master Mechanic handles complex repairs, supports overall shop productivity, helps train new staff, and helps create a positive, collaborative work environment.

• Complete the majority of the team’s advanced service work and major repairs.
• Perform repairs efficiently, accurately, and to Landry’s high quality standards.
• Build strong relationships with riders by clearly explaining service needs and recommendations.
• Use professional‑grade tools and follow industry‑best practices for all repairs and maintenance.
• Mentor, train, and support junior mechanics to strengthen the team’s technical skills.
• Contribute to a clean, organized, and safety‑focused service department.

• Self‑motivated with a positive attitude and team‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and an approachable, customer‑friendly demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for diagnosing and solving mechanical issues.
• Enthusiasm for learning and staying current with new bicycle technologies and service techniques.
• 5+ years professional bicycle mechanic experience.
• Advanced proficiency in all major systems (hydraulic brakes, drivetrain, wheel truing, bearing systems).
• Experience with electronic shifting (Shimano Di2, SRAM AXS).
• Ability to diagnose and repair e‑bikes (Bosch, Shimano, Specialized, etc.).
• Strong diagnostic skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to explain repairs and recommendations clearly to customers.
• High standards for safety, QC, and workflow efficiency.

• Certification(s):
  Shimano STEC, SRAM STU, Bosch, UBI/BBI, or similar.
• Advanced wheel building.
• Advanced suspension service experience (damper service, full overhauls).
• Experience mentoring or training other mechanics.
