Overview &Key Responsibilities
The Pilot Resources team seeks a Co-op to support all areas of Crew Resources, including pilot leave administration, retirements, outside flying verification, and new hires.
Summary of Responsibilities (not comprehensive)- Assist with pilot rotation and schedule updates, maintain DBMS data and personnel files.
- Provide analysis and research for Crew Resources, OE training planning, scheduling strategic initiatives, and support ALPA reporting.
- Identify required training for pilots returning from leave status or awarded through an Advance Entitlement.
- Provide customer service to pilots, Chief Pilot Offices, Labor Relations and ALPA by responding to inquiries sent to Crew Resources email and answering phone calls requesting category and staffing information.
- Maintain accuracy and distribute pay protection to pilots; ensure pilot assignment files and job codes are accurate; keep pilots’ Vacation Training and Sick files and process schedule block requests.
- Identify and create new or improved processes to support operational changes; assist in identifying manual processes and provide innovative ways to complete tasks for efficiencies.
- Familiarize quickly with topics including the Pilot Working Agreement (PWA), FARs, DBMS, SAP and OSS.
- Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
- Co-op does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation; intended for educational and professional experience.
- Work for 3 alternating semesters; cannot actively take courses and work as Co-op simultaneously, which may delay graduation 1-2 semesters.
- Actively enrolled in an undergraduate program;
Bachelor's degree in progress. - Good analytical and organizational skills required.
- Exposure to analytical/reporting software required.
- Ability to anticipate and plan for competing priorities while meeting strict deadlines.
- Communicate with pilots regarding proprietary, confidential, legal, complex, or sensitive issues.
- Work in a fast‑paced team environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- High attention to detail to maintain accurate personnel records affecting pay, job status, and benefits.
- Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possess high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- At least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
