Utility Analyst I

We are seeking a Utility Analyst I for our Atlanta office. The selected candidate will be involved in the electric utility industry, specifically working with electric cooperatives, municipalities, and investor-owned utilities regarding Joint Use and Pole Attachment management. This position will work with consultants, engineers, and business development professionals to create an environment of support and vision for our clients.

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research analysis.
• Perform research of selected agencies and regulations to assist in identifying all aspects of related information around business opportunities.
• Study and evaluate information from all available sources and provide timely and objective assessments to clients.
• Work alongside business development professionals and engineers to identify, strategize, and pursue opportunities with electric utilities.
• Read and interpret client joint use contracts.
• Collect, configure, and analyze data to evaluate trends.
• Develop contract language based on the needs and requests of clients.
• Develop business workflows to improve processes associated with joint use/pole attachment functions.
• Learn and operate software systems in support of pole attachment workflows.

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business, Accounting, Computer Science, etc.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Word.
• Additional database management software experience preferred.
• Analytical skills.
• Ability to take ownership of processes and achieve defined results.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Extreme attention to detail.
