Position: Drug Safety & Benefit-Risk Scientist (US)

We are seeking to hire an exceptional Drug Safety & Benefit-Risk Scientist
who is analytical, collaborative and adaptable to join our Patient Safety team. This position will be based out of our US Headquarters near Atlanta, GA.

About the role

You will evaluate medicine safety and benefit-risk profiles across clinical development and post-approval activities. Your scientific assessments will inform evidence-based decisions, regulatory submissions and safety strategies throughout the medicine lifecycle. You will interpret complex data, communicate clear conclusions and help maintain high-quality, inspection-ready documentation. Depending on experience, you may also lead complex assessments, mentor colleagues and provide scientific guidance across projects.

you'll work with

You will be working in a team that partners closely with medical, clinical development, regulatory, epidemiology and safety experts. Together, you will integrate evidence from multiple sources, support informed benefit-risk decisions and strengthen safety monitoring across the medicine lifecycle. You will collaborate with global multidisciplinary stakeholders while contributing to consistent scientific standards and continuous process improvement.

What you'll do
  • Evaluate safety and benefit-risk data for development and marketed products.
  • Prepare safety assessments and benefit-risk documentation for regulatory submissions.
  • Interpret clinical and safety data for cross-functional decision-making.
  • Support signal evaluation, risk management and safety monitoring strategies.
  • Maintain inspection-ready documentation and strengthen safety processes.
  • Lead complex assessments and mentor colleagues, depending on experience.
Minimum requirements
  • Master's, PhD, or PharmD in a relevant discipline.
  • 1+ years of experience in drug safety or pharmacovigilance.
  • 1+ years of experience interpreting complex clinical, safety and scientific data.
  • Strong scientific writing and safety documentation skills.
Preferred requirements
  • Experience supporting benefit-risk assessments during clinical development.
  • Knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations and safety practices.
  • Experience preparing regulatory safety documentation.
  • Experience supporting signal detection and risk management activities.
  • Demonstrated project leadership or colleague mentoring experience.
  • Experience collaborating across global multidisciplinary teams.
Salary

This position's reasonably anticipated base salary range is $125,600 to $164,900 per year. The actual salary offered will consider internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
