Position: Lead teacher- Young toddlers 1-2yrs old

Overview

A Lead Toddler Teacher develops and implements curriculum, fosters a safe and nurturing environment, monitors and records children’s development, and maintains communication with parents and staff.

Key duties include planning educational activities, overseeing daily routines like meals and naps, ensuring safety regulations are met, managing assistant teachers, documenting progress, and building positive relationships with families.

Curriculum & Development
  • Plan and Implement

    Activities:

    Design and execute lesson plans that promote toddlers' social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth, incorporating creative expression and exploration.
  • Foster Positive Development:
    Use positive guidance techniques to help children develop healthy behaviors, self-expression, and social skills.
  • Document Progress:
    Maintain detailed records of each child’s developmental milestones, providing regular updates to parents.
Classroom Management & Safety
  • Create a Safe Environment:
    Ensure the classroom and play areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained, adhering to all relevant regulations.
  • Establish Routines:
    Develop and manage daily schedules that include meals, naps, outdoor time, and special activities to provide structure and security for the children.
  • Provide Personal Care:
    Assist children with basic personal care needs such as feeding, hygiene, and dressing.
Leadership & Communication
  • Supervise Staff:
    Oversee and mentor assistant teachers and other classroom staff, ensuring consistent and high-quality care.
  • Communicate with Parents:
    Inform parents about their children’s daily progress and participate in meetings to foster strong partnerships.
  • Collaborate with Staff:
    Communicate effectively with the head of early childhood education and other staff to address any pertinent issues, ensuring program quality.
