About the RoleThe Assistant Project Manager will support the project team in planning, coordinating, and executing multifamily construction projects. This role assists with documentation, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and daily project administration while gaining experience toward full PM responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Assist with project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and change orders
- Support subcontractor coordination and help manage material and equipment procurement
- Help maintain project schedules, look-ahead plans, and progress tracking
Review drawings and specifications to support issue resolution and field coordination - Assist project manager with budgeting, cost tracking, and pay application reviews
- Participate in project meetings and communication with owners, architects, and consultants
- Maintain organized project files and ensure accurate reporting
- Help with closeout activities including punch lists, warranty documents, and turnover packages
- Support jobsite visits and collaborate with field leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in commercial or multifamily construction
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to read drawings and understand construction processes
- Proficiency with project management software, Excel, and document control tools
- Desire to grow into a Project Manager role
