Lead Field Trainer / Construction / Atlanta
Looking to make a real impact in the field while helping develop the next generation of construction professionals? We’re hiring a Lead Field Trainer to support and train field teams to industry and company standards across utility and telecommunications construction work.
Technical skills are appreciated for this role but a charismatic personality and prior training experience are key, preferably in a construction or industrial-related field.
What you’ll do- Train new and existing employees in classroom and field environments
- Provide hands‑on instruction and oversight in areas including:
- Operation of diesel and gasoline‑powered equipment such as backhoes, excavators, and directional drills
- Safe use of hand and small tools (shovels, tampers, generators, compressors)
- Locating buried utilities and infrastructure
- Installation of underground communications cabling, including pedestals and hand holes
- Flagging and work zone safety
- Property and worksite restoration
- Jetting, pneumatic gopher use, and compressor operation
- Conduct worksite walk‑throughs and address safety or quality issues
- Support managers with employee development plans and training recommendations
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation
- Ability to create and maintain a positive, professional training environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback
- Comfort presenting to groups in both classroom and field settings
- Previous utility construction field experience with a strong focus on crew leadership
- Telecommunications construction experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Basic computer skills;
Google applications experience preferred - Valid Class A CDL preferred
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a valid medical card
- Authorized to work in the United States for any employer
