Preconstruction Manager – Commercial Construction

One of Atlanta's top commercial general contractors is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join their team. This is a company recognized for its quality, integrity, and long‑standing client relationships across healthcare, education, industrial, and commercial markets.

About The Role

The Preconstruction Manager will lead all preconstruction efforts, partnering with clients, architects, and project teams to deliver accurate budgets and successful project strategies. This is a key leadership role with strong visibility and the ability to influence major projects across the state.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of preconstruction for large, complex commercial projects.
• Develop detailed conceptual and hard cost estimates.
• Lead value engineering and constructability reviews.
• Manage bid packages, subcontractor outreach, and pricing strategies.
• Present budgets and schedules to clients and internal teams.
• Mentor and support junior estimating and preconstruction staff.

Ideal Background

• 7+ years of commercial construction experience with a focus on preconstruction or estimating.
• Deep understanding of cost analysis, scheduling, and construction methods.
• Experience using preconstruction/estimating software (On‑Screen Takeoff, Sage, or similar).
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
