Preconstruction Manager

We're looking for aSenior Estimator to join our growing Atlanta healthcare practice - someone who gets energy from solving tough construction problems and takes pride in helping win profitable work.

• Analyze drawings, specs, and proposals to build accurate time, cost, and labor estimates
• Lead or contribute to estimates on multi-discipline projects, including full quantity surveys
• Supervise and mentor other estimators in your area of expertise
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes for scope and qualifications
• Run subcontractor meetings to nail down scope and strategy
• Own risk and contract management responsibilities on your bids
• Help shape strategy for meeting minority participation requirements
• Review estimates end-to-end for accuracy before they go out the door
• Track estimated costs against actuals and feed lessons back into future bids
• Push for better, more efficient estimating methods
• Walk job sites to spot unusual or challenging conditions firsthand

• 8–10+ years of estimating and cost control experience
• A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field — or equivalent experience
• Comfort leading or contributing within a multi-project, multi-pursuit environment
• Working knowledge of On-Screen Takeoff, Excel, and Bluebeam
• Sharp organizational and time-management skills — you can juggle without dropping anything
• A detail-oriented, technically sound approach backed by strong communication
• Fluency in conceptual, detailed, and self-perform estimating
• Familiarity with the local subcontractor market is a plus
