Position Summary:

Brock-Civil is hiring an experienced Grading & Pipe Foreman to lead field crews performing grading/earthwork and underground utility construction on residential and commercial site-development projects.

This position requires hands-on experience in BOTH grading/earthwork AND underground utilities.

We’re looking for someone who how to lead a crew in the field – not simply someone with general site development experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities What You’ll Lead
  • Mass grading, excavation, rough grading, and finish grading
  • Storm sewer, sanitary sewar, and water-main installation
  • Clearing, demolition, and earthmoving operations
  • Line and grade using GPS grade-control systems, grade stakes, builders' levels and pipe lasers
  • Daily coordination of crews, equipment, materials, and production
  • Jobsite safety, including excavation and trench safety
  • Coordination with Superintendents, Project Managers, Inspectors and other project partners.
What We’re Looking For

Required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional construction-management training or certification is a plus.
  • Minimum five (5) years of site-development experience with substantial hands-on experience in both grading/earthwork and underground utility construction; previous Foreman or crew-leadership experience required.
  • Experience establishing rough and finish grades
  • Experience leading installation of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water systems
  • Ability to read civil plans, utility drawings, specifications, and grade stakes
  • Experience with heavy equipment including dozers, excavators, skid steers, and/or track loaders
  • Knowledge of excavation, trench, and jobsite safety
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening.
  • Ability to travel to project locations throughout North and Metro Atlanta
  • Ability to work approximately 40-55 hours per week, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and varying schedules as project demands require.
Preferred
  • OSHA 30 certification (OSHA 10 at minimum strongly preferred).
  • Advanced GPS grade-control experience.
  • Experience leading crews that perform both grading and underground utility scopes.

Compensation:

Pay is commensurate with experience and the requirements of the combined grading and underground utility foreman role.
