Position: Project Manager, Confidential Construction Company

Growth Operators is recruiting for a confidential construction company based in the Atlanta Metropolitan area, read below to learn more about this exciting opportunity!

About Opportunity

A well-funded construction startup in the Atlanta area is hiring a Project Manager to join its founding operations team. The company delivers logistics facilities, light industrial warehouses, and multistory parking structures through a standardized, product-based model. It offers clients turnkey, fixed price delivery backed by speed and cost certainty.

This is a rare chance to do more than manage projects. As an early member of the team, you will help shape how the company delivers work, and the tools, standards, and processes you build will guide every project that follows. If you want your experience to leave a lasting mark on a growing organization, this role is built for you.

What You Will Do

As Project Manager, you will own the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will be the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. You will use project management software and data driven cost tracking to deliver every project on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality and safety.

  • You will lead your assigned projects through every phase, from preconstruction and planning through execution and closeout.
  • You will develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and billing, and you will address variances before they become problems.
  • You will build and maintain project schedules with superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and offsite fabrication partners.
  • You will serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, and you will build relationships that lead to repeat business.
  • You will review contracts, drawings, and specifications, and you will manage submittals, requests for information, and change orders to keep scope, budget, and schedule aligned.
  • You will solicit, negotiate, and manage subcontractor and vendor agreements.
  • You will work with site superintendents to monitor job site safety, quality control, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • You will identify risks early and protect the scope, schedule, and cost commitments made to clients under a fixed price delivery model.
  • You will help build and refine standardized delivery processes, tools, and playbooks, and you will mentor project coordinators and assistant project managers.
What You Bring
  • You have six to eight years of experience in construction project management and a proven record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • You know construction means, methods, contracts, and scheduling, and can read drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • You are proficient in Procore or Microsoft Project, plus Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • You bring strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • You know OSHA regulations and local building codes.
  • You can juggle multiple projects and adapt as priorities shift.
What Will Set You Apart
  • You have worked in industrialized, modular, or prefabricated construction, or a vertically integrated design build model.
  • You have delivered logistics, light industrial, or multistory parking projects.
  • You have delivered turnkey, fixed price projects with strong gross margins.
  • You hold a PMP or CCM certification.
  • You have advanced Procore skills in scheduling, budgeting, and document control.
  • You have worked in both design build and design bid build delivery.
  • You have supervised and developed project coordinators or assistant project managers.
  • You have subcontractor, supplier, or client relationships in the Atlanta market.
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and have built a team, function, or company from the ground up.
  • You thrive amid ambiguity in a fast-moving, early-stage environment.
Why Join
  • You will be part of the founding team and will directly shape how the company builds.
  • You will work within a modern, repeatable delivery model that values speed, data, and cost certainty.
  • You will have real ownership and visibility, with a direct line to leadership.
  • You will grow your career alongside the company as it expands across regions.
