- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members in preconstruction roles.
- Drive innovation and sustainability initiatives within preconstruction processes.
- Represent the client in negotiations with contractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop comprehensive preconstruction plans, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Conduct detailed cost analyses and feasibility studies for proposed projects.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source materials and services efficiently.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure alignment between preconstruction and execution phases.
- Monitor and report on preconstruction progress to senior management and stakeholders.
- Identify and address potential risks and challenges during preconstruction planning.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and environmental requirements in preconstruction activities.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, contractors, and external partners.
- Utilize advanced software tools for project planning and management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in construction management, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in preconstruction or construction management.
- Preferred 12 years of experience in ground-up construction projects.
- Proven expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and project scheduling.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage diverse teams.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
- Ability to work on-site and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality results within established timelines.
