Our upcoming sci-fi drama pilot, a high-concept story blending classic space opera with gritty character-driven narrative, is searching for a senior editor to join our team. We're looking for someone who can craft compelling pacing, manage complex visual effects shots, and bring a strong narrative voice to the project. This is an independent production with high ambitions. Key responsibilities include assembling footage, collaborating closely with the director on story and pacing, sound design, and preparing sequences for VFX.
You'll be working on a significant amount of material shot across various locations, including some underwater sequences. We need an editor with a strong reel demonstrating experience in genre-specific storytelling, ideally with previous pilot or short-form series work. This is about three weeks of work, potentially extending into early December 2026. We are looking for someone based in Atlanta, GA, who can work from a dedicated editing suite, which we will provide.
Compensation for this role is TBD, based on experience and discussed during interviews. Please include a link to your online reel with your application. We're looking to make a decision by November 3, 2026.
