We're an independent production seeking an experienced Director to helm our upcoming pilot episode, a grounded sci-fi drama with an intimate, character-driven tone. We need a creative leader who can bring a nuanced vision to this compelling story. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the producer and department heads, guiding performances, and maintaining the overall artistic integrity of the project.

You'll be instrumental in establishing the visual language and pacing for this series. We're looking for a senior director with a strong narrative reel showcasing dramatic storytelling, ideally with sci-fi or elevated genre experience. You should be adept at working within a modest budget while maximizing production value. We estimate a 5-day shoot plus 3-4 days of prep, all taking place in October 2026.

The daily rate is $150-300, negotiable based on experience. We'll provide locations, primary crew, and some production equipment, but value a director who can be resourceful.
