Vickers Design Group is currently accepting applications for a Project Architect. The candidate must be an experienced professional who can execute and lead all phases of design.
To succeed in this position, the candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Architecture
- 8-10 years of professional experience in commercial architecture
- Proficient in Revit
- Proven track record managing projects from concept through construction
- Knowledge of Enscape, Bluebeam, Photoshop, In Design
- Have a full understanding of building codes and industry best practices
- Experience in corporate, adaptive reuse, and industrial project types is desirable
- Ability to create construction documents and specifications with little to no supervision
- Team player with a positive attitude
Responsibilities:
- Initiate design and production of drawings
- Lead client and consultant meetings/presentations and provide solutions
- Increase knowledge regarding building codes, ADA, Life Safety Codes, and technical drawings
- Adhere to client specifications and design standards
- Manage budgets, schedules and client expectations
- Adapt in a fast-paced environment
