Responsibilities for a technical architect include:- Assist and engage with project teams at every phase, particularly Construction Documents, to ensure standards, code compliance, overall quality control of documents and implementation
- Perform building and life safety code research and analysis based on project type, scope and location
- Incorporate applied building science + envelope knowledge and research into implementation documentation
- Problem solve creatively to protect design integrity throughout QA/QC
- Assist with specification templates and product research
- Assist with periodic product submittal review for conformance with contract documents
- Confident communication and coordination with consultants, codes officials, industry reps, contractors + subcontractors and internal teams
- Master of Architecture
- 8+ years of experience in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction, or related field(s)
- Demonstrated knowledge of architectural building and envelope systems, detailing, and code requirement
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience at all project and design phases, as well as construction administration
- Experience with building repositioning, office, retail, and education.
- Proficiency in architectural software, including but not limited to Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office
