Responsibilities for a technical architect include:
  • Assist and engage with project teams at every phase, particularly Construction Documents, to ensure standards, code compliance, overall quality control of documents and implementation
  • Perform building and life safety code research and analysis based on project type, scope and location
  • Incorporate applied building science + envelope knowledge and research into implementation documentation
  • Problem solve creatively to protect design integrity throughout QA/QC
  • Assist with specification templates and product research
  • Assist with periodic product submittal review for conformance with contract documents
  • Confident communication and coordination with consultants, codes officials, industry reps, contractors + subcontractors and internal teams
Skill sets that will make you a successful team member at HLGstudio include:
  • Master of Architecture
  • 8+ years of experience in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction, or related field(s)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of architectural building and envelope systems, detailing, and code requirement
  • Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience at all project and design phases, as well as construction administration
  • Experience with building repositioning, office, retail, and education.
  • Proficiency in architectural software, including but not limited to Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office
