Description
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Physician will attend to the needs of all patients within the scope of licensing, training, and credentialing. They will perform patient care activities to fulfill their duties and responsibilities, assist in generating practice volume, participate in on-call duties, and attend meetings as needed. The Physician will practice medicine within the current scope of national patient safety goals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a Doctor of Medicine Degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree (D.O.). Must hold a valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in Georgia. Board Eligible or Board Certified preferred. Must hold a valid DEA certificate without restrictions. Outpatient medical practice experience preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Must be computer literate.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium): Lifting 20-50 lbs, with weight distribution varying throughout the workday; frequent standing and walking; occasional sitting; close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing). Physical demands may vary depending on work area and tasks.
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Exposure to blood-borne pathogens, bio-hazardous waste, chemicals, gases, fumes, vapors, communicable diseases, electrical hazards, varying floor surfaces, temperature conditions, indoor/outdoor environments, latex, lighting, patient handling injuries, radiation, shift work, and potential travel. Use of PPE including respirators may be required depending on tasks.
