Assistant Professor, Nocturnists

** Position Summary**

The Nocturnists position will consist of the following:

• Provide clinical services on a 7-day on/off schedule
• Work hours are from 8 pm to 8 am
• Nocturnists will spend half of their service time supervising resident activities and half working independently
• Supervise residents in their care of patients admitted to the step-down areas and when patients decompensate
• Independently admit up to 6 patients during non-supervising weeks and oversee the care of those patients

** Minimum Qualifications**

• MD degree
• Georgia Medical License
• Board Certification in Internal Medicine
• Preferred experience in medical student and/or resident teaching
• Good interpersonal skills
• High level of professionalism

** Preferred Qualifications**

Same as above, emphasizing teaching experience.
