Initial 3-Month Requirement (with possible extension)

Position Overview

FCI Atlanta is seeking licensed Physicians to provide general medical services via telemedicine and/or on-site visits to the inmate population. Services are delivered in coordination with institutional healthcare staff.

Schedule
  • Sunday – Saturday
  • Between 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Not to exceed 8 hours per day without approval
  • Frequency based on patient needs
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care in accordance with accepted standards
  • Conduct telehealth and in-person clinical encounters
  • Perform physical examinations and medical assessments
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results
  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans
  • Manage chronic and acute medical conditions
  • Coordinate referrals to specialists and hospitals
  • Respond to medical emergencies and assist with CPR/AED
  • Document care accurately in institutional medical records
Equipment
  • Telemedicine equipment and clinic supplies provided by the institution
Qualifications
  • Current, unrestricted Physician license (any U.S. state)
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved medical school
  • Ability to pass drug screening and background investigation

Insurance Requirement
  • Medical malpractice insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence
