Hospice​/Palliative Medicine Physician

Palliative Care Physician needed in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA

A top healthcare system in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA is recruiting for an eligible or board- certified Palliative Care Medicine physician. They will be expanding our current palliative care service line, by offering inpatient and limited outpatient services.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Join an established collaborative and collegial inpatient palliative care team comprised of one physician, a dedicated full-time LPN, and a full-time licensed social worker and help us develop an outpatient program that will enhance and grow the Palliative Care services offered by Health System.
• Function as a program builder by overseeing the design & implementation of an outpatient palliative care clinic, to ultimately include Home Based Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner program.
• Experience practicing Palliative Medicine in an acute care hospital setting with program management experience preferred.

Education

• Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Care through American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine
• Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine or General Surgery
• Completion of an accredited Palliative Medicine Fellowship
• Current GA Medical License or meet requirements to secure a GA license

Schedule:

• Monday Friday (5 days/40 hours per week).
