Advanced Practice Fellow - General Cardiology - Piedmont Heart Institute
Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI), located in the heart of Atlanta, is recruiting for a General Cardiology Fellow to join the Cardiology team providing excellent patient care. You will be joining a team of advanced practice providers and solely focus on General Cardiology. This is a full-time fellowship opportunity.
This is an opportunity to be an integral part of one of the nation’s leading cardiology programs, working alongside highly respected physicians who value multidisciplinary teamwork and are proven leaders in their respective fields.
Responsibilities- Provides direct clinical services for adult patients within institutional guidelines and utilizing evidence-based clinical practice standards under the supervision of the patient’s physician.
- Formulates and implements a treatment plan for acute and chronic illness management in collaboration with the designated primary supervising physician and/or attending back-up physician(s).
- Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests.
- Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation and administration of life‑support drugs according to established protocols.
- Assesses patients for changes in status and institutes appropriate interventions, including initiation of necessary emergency interventions to stabilize patients.
- Incorporates clinical research findings in the development and implementation of standards of care.
- Supports IRB-approved clinical research/trials through a variety of activities.
- Serves as a clinical expert and education consultant to nursing, members of the healthcare team and to the larger community.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited PA or NP program and National Board Certification
