HEAD OF FACULTY RECRUITING

Heritage Preparatory School is a Pre-K through 12th grade classical, Christian

school located in midtown Atlanta, GA. We exist to provide an academically

rigorous educational experience designed to help students know, love, and

practice that which is true, good, and excellent and to prepare them to live

purposefully and intelligently in the service of God and man.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Head of Faculty Recruiting has the role and responsibility of building a

bench of qualified candidates to teach  individual plays a pivotal

role in the decision of who is hired to stand in front of Heritage students. The

role combines data analysis, marketing, sales and the ability to discern “fit”

with the Heritage culture and to attract candidates who reflect the Portrait of a

Faculty Member. The Head of Faculty Recruiting represents Heritage externally,

and must reflect the maturity, intellectual rigor, humility and professionalism

of our school.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • Build Candidate Pool by surveying the competitive landscape to inform recruiting strategy. This will include building a target list of schools and programs from which we should be recruiting, targeting existing teachers for lateral hires, and identifying non-traditional candidates to serve as adjunct faculty.
  • Build a database of potential candidates, including recent college graduates, existing teachers, and adjunct faculty members.
  • Research the best channels to reach our target audience (podcasts, radio, social media, print, magazine publications, etc.).
  • Propose annual ad budget for recruiting and allocation to
  • Execute on marketing/ad strategy to reach the highest number of potential candidates
  • Recruitment & Interviews
  • Attend job fairs at targeted schools or organizations identified above
  • Build relationships with school and subject department chairs
  • Build outreach strategy for lateral hires locally and nationally (find personal connections)
  • Work with administration to develop an interview process that ensures successful selection (as measured by tenure or performance reviews)
  • Work with the President, Upper and Lower School Heads to build out onboarding and first-year training program
  • Interview and prioritize growing needs of faculty (community, housing, childcare, etc) and propose to leadership best

Education:

Master’s degree is preferred

Experience:

5 or more years experience in recruiting and/or education administration, and has the flexibility to travel or be off-campus 50% of the time

Salary:
Base salary commensurate with experience, variable compensation tied to successful placement of candidates. All travel expenses are covered.

Heritage faculty and staff members are not only engaging intellectuals, but

they are also grounded in Scripture, have a vibrant walk with the Lord, and see

themselves as both spiritual shepherds and teachers of their subject matter.

build and create a unique high school experience. Faculty members should have

deep content knowledge about the class/grade they are teaching as well as

being faithful Christ-followers who desire to partner with parents to shepherd

the hearts of our students.
