The School of Nursing at Georgia State University, located in downtown Atlanta, is dedicated to excellence in education, research, and community engagement. The School of Nursing invites applications for two full‑time, non‑tenure‑track faculty positions at the rank of Clinical Instructor, Clinical Assistant Professor, or Clinical Associate Professor. These are nine‑month appointments with responsibilities that include:
- Teaching in undergraduate and/or graduate nursing programs
- Participating in scholarly activities
- Advising and mentoring students
- Contributing to school, university, and community service
Rank will be determined based on prior clinical and/or teaching experience.
Required ExperienceCandidates for all ranks must demonstrate clinical competence in nursing practice and experience working with diverse patient populations. Clinical Instructor candidates should have at least 1 year of clinical experience; prior teaching experience is preferred but not required. Clinical Assistant Professor candidates need a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience and prior teaching experience in undergraduate and/or graduate nursing programs.
Clinical Associate Professor candidates must possess 5 or more years of clinical and teaching experience, a record of scholarly activity, and evidence of leadership in nursing practice or education, including mentorship.
