Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Criminology – Tenure-Track
Position begins August 2026. The role is a nine‑month appointment with annual review; it includes teaching responsibilities (in‑person and online) with possible summer teaching.
Responsibilities- Engage in quantitative analysis of criminal justice policy issues, including social network analysis, spatial analysis, and causal analysis.
- Teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies (in‑person and online).
- Contribute to the department’s research and service missions, including collaboration with federal, state, and local partners.
- A Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a substantively relevant field (ABD may apply, but degree must be received by start of employment).
- Comprehensive criminal background check required.
- University teaching experience.
- Demonstrated record of publication.
- Capacity for funded research.
The position is located on the Atlanta campus of Georgia State University and requires on‑campus, in‑person work. The Andrew Young School maintains a flexible work environment.
