Lecturer, University Professor, Health Educator

Position Summary

The Department of Public Health Education seeks a dynamic and dedicated Lecturer to contribute to teaching, curriculum coordination, and academic service. The Lecturer will deliver high-quality instruction to Master of Public Health students, support curriculum development, and contribute to student success. This position emphasizes teaching excellence, curriculum management, and a learning environment that supports diversity, equity, inclusion, and student engagement.

• Provide high-quality teaching in public health education and related areas.
• Support curriculum planning, coordination, and continuous improvement within the department.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure programmatic alignment with accreditation standards and departmental goals.
• Teach face‑to‑face graduate courses in public health education and related disciplines.
• Develop and deliver engaging, student‑centered course materials, assessments, and instructional strategies.
• Maintain office hours and provide timely feedback and academic support to students.
• Employ inclusive teaching practices that reflect diverse perspectives and learning styles.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities as assigned.

• Master of Public Health degree, health education, or closely related field.
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness at the college/university level.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, EdD) in Public Health, Health Education, or a related field.
• Experience with curriculum coordination.
• Experience advising or mentoring students.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and service.
